Access and services


We offer a range of facilities and events for blind and partially sighted visitors to help them get more from the museum's collections.


Free services

Cloakrooms are available in the museum entrance hall.

Wheelchairs are available at the entrance hall, please ask at the desk upon arrival.

Folding chairs are freely accessible through the museum.


Printed trails and supports

We provide Braille information at the entrance hall, please ask upon arrival.




  There are also large print versions of the exhibition panels for partially sighted visitors.



Visitors have access to the whole museum thanks to access ramps and lifts.

Wheelchairs, assistance dogs and white canes are allowed in the museum's rooms.




Open visits

Individual visitors:

Without a guide, visitors may access collections for free. The signage and museum's map allow them to take an easier stroll through the museum.


Entry is free for groups and their accompanying person but must be booked at least 15 days in advance.

Supervised visits

Individual visitors

The museum offers sensory tours the last Saturday of each month at 3pm.

An opportunity to discover a series of works from the museum's collections through tactile reproductions, material samples and original sculptures...

Currently available:

  • An "Egyptian" sensory tour,
  • An "Ancient Limoges" sensory tour,
  • A   "Limoges from the Middle Ages to nowadays" sensory tour,
  • An "Enamels" sensory tour.

A "Fine Arts" sensory tour will soon be available.

Advanced reservations are required (at least 15 days in advance)

Guided sensory tours are also available to groups. Advance reservations are required (at least 15 days before the visit date) .

Groups are limited to 6 people.





Visitors enter the museum by the grand courtyard of the Episcopal Palace. On entering: turn right, walk alongside the building and the entrance hall is situated on the ground floor.

There are parking spaces reserved for disabled people close to the museum.


Entrance fees

All visitors may access collections for free.

Special rates for supervised activities:

  • Individual visitors: €3 per person
  • Groups: €2.50 per person
  • Free for accompanying persons

Opening hours

1st April to 30th September: open daily (except on Tuesdays) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

1st October to 31st March: open daily (except on Tuesdays and Sunday mornings) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
